Every Good Friday, the inhabitants of Burzet, in Ardèche, repeat the Way of the Cross of the Passion of Christ. In 1992, the filmmaker Jean-Pierre Bozon filmed this ceremony at length and met the main characters in this seven-century-old Way of the Cross. Gérard Courant collected and edited the rushes from this filming and made five films.
