Accelerated Viewer is operated by Reed Stories, LLC in Colorado, USA ("we," "us"). Austin Howe, its founder, is responsible for privacy requests. We collect only what we need to run Accelerated Viewer: - Account information: your email address, your username, and any profile image you choose - Quiz activity: quizzes you generate, attempts, scores, progress, and streaks - Content you submit: quiz selections and any image you upload as an avatar - Communication preferences: your email-notification and privacy settings - Optional browser usage data: collected only if you accept analytics (see below) - Operational data: limited request metadata, diagnostics, and server errors needed to run, secure, and troubleshoot the Service

If you choose Google or Discord sign-in, that provider shares your name, email address, profile-picture URL, and account identifier with Accelerated Viewer. We request only basic identity and profile information. These permissions do not let us read your Gmail, Google Drive files, calendar, contacts, or private Discord messages. We use this information to create and authenticate your account, connect accounts with matching verified email addresses, and provide your profile. Your profile image may be visible to other users depending on your privacy settings. Provider account details and authorization tokens are stored with our server-side account records in Neon and processed by our Vercel-hosted authentication service. SendGrid receives your email address when we deliver account and service emails. Optional analytics and operational monitoring follow the separate Cookies & Analytics and Service Providers sections of this policy. Signing in does not automatically send your provider profile information to our AI generation or moderation services. Email-link sign-in remains available without connecting a social account. You can revoke access through your Google or Discord account settings and email support@acceleratedviewer.com to request deletion of your Accelerated Viewer account. Retention and deletion follow the Data Retention section of this policy.

We use your information to: - Provide, secure, and maintain the Service and your account - Generate, personalize, and recommend quizzes - Display public profiles, leaderboards, and shared quizzes - Send transactional email such as sign-in links and notifications you opt into - Detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and policy violations - Understand and improve the Service (only with your analytics consent)

We send movie and TV information and quiz text to Anthropic to generate quizzes. We send submitted or generated text and images you upload to OpenAI for content moderation. These providers process the data to return generated questions or moderation results. We do not sell your personal information, and we share only what is necessary for these features to work.

Essential cookies and browser storage keep the Service working: session cookies keep you signed in, short-lived security cookies protect email-link, Google, and Discord sign-in, and your browser stores your cookie choice. If you decline analytics, a decline marker cookie lasts up to 90 days so your choice holds when you sign in. Your theme and sound preferences stay in your browser. Optional analytics help us understand page usage and capture browser errors through PostHog. They only load after you accept them in the cookie banner. Declining disables optional browser analytics and acquisition measurement. With consent, we store campaign identifiers, a public landing-page path, an external referrer origin, and signup/onboarding/quiz milestones to measure acquisition and return to play. We do not store raw referrer paths, emails, or authentication tokens in acquisition records. A signed attribution cookie lasts up to 90 days. A short-lived hashed magic-link binding can preserve this choice and attribution when you open your sign-in link in another browser; an explicit decline in that browser takes precedence. Revoking consent clears that browser's acquisition journey. Separately, our hosting and error-monitoring providers process limited server logs, request metadata, and unexpected server errors as necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service. You can change your analytics choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the site footer.

We share data with trusted providers who process it on our behalf, including: - The Movie Database (TMDB) — movie and television metadata and imagery - Anthropic — quiz generation - OpenAI — text and image content moderation - PostHog — consent-based browser analytics and operational server error monitoring - SendGrid — delivery of sign-in links and notification emails - Amazon Web Services (S3) — storage of profile images - Neon and Vercel — database hosting and application hosting These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.

Accelerated Viewer is a shared platform. Depending on your settings, the following may be visible to others: your username and avatar, quizzes you request, and your standings on public leaderboards. You can adjust your profile visibility and what is shown in your settings.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may keep limited records where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, subject to those limited exceptions.

We protect your data using industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS), reputable cloud infrastructure, and restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: - Access the personal information we hold about you - Correct or update your information (much of it directly in settings) - Delete your account and associated data - Export your information - Opt out of optional analytics and of non-essential email - Control your profile visibility To exercise a right we can't fulfill in-app, email support@acceleratedviewer.com or use our contact form. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the account holder.

Accelerated Viewer is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email support@acceleratedviewer.com and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date and may ask you to review and accept the new version before continuing to use the Service.
