So he steals a large sum of money from the studio where he works to spend on her, and confesses his love and his crime to her. He hears her tell the producer about his crime, so he runs away and travels to Alexandria to hide with his friends, who covet the money. A fight breaks out between them and Salem, in which one of them dies, and events unfold.
