The story of a grieving man named Matt. He tries to push through the drudgery and brain fog of another morning by forcing himself to check off items on a to-do list. Conversation comes easy to them, and they spend the day chatting like old friends. As evening falls, she insists that he walk her home and even invites him in. Overwhelmed, he hesitates. Matt watches her enter the building, and as the light in her window comes on, he gathers his courage and decides to follow. Finding the door to her apartment ajar, he cautiously enters to find the place eerily familiar.
