Russia, 2022. A Moscow theater troupe wants to hold a protest against Russia's war in Ukraine, but their plan is thwarted by the Russian Security Service, which is tipped off by one of the actors. As punishment, the actors are given a new task - they must act in propaganda news productions. In addition, one of the actors must play the role of the president, wearing a mask. Fear, confusion and a bloodthirsty desire for power gradually lead to an unexpected turn of events.
